YOUR STAY AT HARPAILLE
Everything you need to know for a comfortable stay in the mountains.
Hidden in the forest above Saint-Luc, Chalet Harpaille offers the peace and privacy of a secluded mountain home while remaining less than 10 minutes by car from the Saint-Luc funicular.
Below you’ll find all the practical information you need before and during your stay.
ARRIVAL & ACCESS
Chalet Harpaille is located on Route d’Ayer, in La Margueroula.
Google Maps indicates the chalet as No. 2 La Margueroula, although there is no number displayed on the building. Simply look for the “Harpaille” sign.
Access to the chalet is via a private mountain road through the forest.
During winter, snow and ice are part of the experience. A properly equipped vehicle is essential and we strongly recommend carrying snow chains.
Check-in: Saturday from 5:00 pm
Check-out: Saturday before 10:00 am
Detailed arrival instructions and the key lockbox code will be provided to guests before their stay.

A DIFFERENT KIND OF ELECTRICITY 🌱
Harpaille has one rather unique feature.
The chalet’s electricity is produced locally by a small hydroelectric system powered by mountain water.
It is part of what makes Harpaille special, but it also means that the available electrical power is lower than in a conventional house.
High-consumption appliances are marked with a red sticker.
Please use only one high-consumption appliance at a time. For example, avoid using the kettle or Nespresso machine while the dishwasher is running.
This simple habit helps keep everything running smoothly throughout your stay.
Electric cars
Because of the chalet’s limited electrical capacity, electric vehicles cannot be charged at Harpaille.
Charging stations are available in Saint-Luc, including at Parking de l’Achelli and near the funicular.
FOR CHILDREN
Harpaille is our family chalet and has always been a place for children to enjoy the mountains too.
A dedicated playroom is located on the top floor, and board games for older children and adults can be found in the living room.
Baby beds with mattresses and high chairs are also available on request.
Please let us know before your arrival if you need them.
LINEN & CLEANING
Bed linen and towels for up to 10 guests are included in your stay.
Final cleaning is also included.
Before leaving, we simply ask you to:
unmake the beds,
empty the dishwasher and refrigerator,
empty the fireplace ashes,
take out the rubbish,
and leave the toilets clean.
Our cleaning team will take care of everything else.
A FEW HOUSE RULES
Harpaille is first and foremost our family mountain home, and we simply ask our guests to treat it as they would their own.
The chalet is entirely non-smoking.
Pets are not permitted.
Shoes should remain on the ground floor to protect the carpets upstairs.
Thank you for helping us preserve this special place for the families and friends who will enjoy it after you.
AROUND SAINT-LUC
For everyday groceries, L’Achelli is open seven days a week and offers food and household essentials.
In the old village, stop by Salamin bakery and pastry shop.
And one small recommendation from us: don’t leave Saint-Luc without trying one of their famous walnut tarts. 🤎
